Attendance Allowance UK – What it is, who can claim & how much it’s worth
Attendance Allowance is a benefit for people over State Pension age who need help because of illness or disability. Many people miss out without realising they may qualify.
Is it means-tested?
No. Your income and savings do not affect it.
How much is it worth?
Attendance Allowance is paid at two rates depending on the help you need. It is currently worth almost £4000 to £6000 a year.
Could I qualify?
You may be able to claim if you are over State Pension age and need help with things like washing, dressing, supervision, or staying safe because of a health condition.
Why is it important?
Attendance Allowance can sometimes increase entitlement to other support, including Pension Credit and Council Tax Reduction.
How I can help
I can help assess whether it is worth claiming, complete the form, and explain your needs clearly. I can also look at whether other benefits may be affected.
